I don't know about you, but if you are a mom or even if you have babysat a kid out in public, they attract people. Strangers, sweet old ladies, and other young moms that have to check out your kid because they have one in their buggy too.
I have noticed these things since having Westin. I have always been one to have to get out of the house at least once a day, unless it's raining. So, when Westin came along that didn't really change. Now I just have to time it perfectly with his naps.
While I am out and about I can't tell you how many people I have randomly met and striked up a conversation with. I love it! I have had more conversations with other woman who I never would have had, had I not had a baby in the buggy.
Just recently I was in Target-go figure. I heard some lady behind me gasp and say "oh, look at that baby!" My first thoughts were, if we are being honest, please don't touch him or his hands. (This is a huge pet peeve of mine.) I digress.
I turned around and the sweet older lady who totally reminded me of my Granny, so really how could I not automatically love her?! Complimented me on how beautiful he was and how great babies are, how she had 4 and they are all grown up, etc.. Then she said a comment that gave me chills. She simply said "They come at the perfect time don't they?"
Now, I believe that God can use other believers or even strangers to speak things to us. When she said that my heart leaped because I just felt like that was something I have felt about Westin since I became pregnant with him. I can't explain it.
Westin has been nothing short of joy and pure blessings since the moment I peed on the stick! He was the perfect blessing that I needed at that point in my life and he continues to be.
So, when that sweet lady said that, I looked her right in the eye and said "yes, they really do."
I love how God gives us love for other people. Children are such a blessing. I love how we can encourage other women and share stories or advice in the middle of a store. We may not have anything other than the babies in our carts in common, but whatever you say just might be the thing that young mother needed to hear. :)

SO LOVE this blog! it is so true. its like when other moms have kids we are already bonded b/c we can relate on many levels. like if you are at chickfila and you run out of diapers and they are poopie other moms can lend a diaper. that is huge! i believe God uses children to bring out love in people's hearts. Love this again!!
Good blog :) Lucas attracts a lot of attention too. I get to talk to people who might have never spoken to us before :)
